In its second week, after being warmly received by audiences, the number of copies was increased at the request of theaters, and a few days later it consolidated its position as the 9th most-watched film of the year in Spain (according to the ICAA report for the first 16 weeks of the year).\u00a0<strong>One month later, more than 80,000 viewers have seen P\u00c1JAROS, and the film continues its run in major theaters throughout Spain.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>BIRDS\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>It is a story of running away in search of the past that wanders between comedy and drama in the form of an emotional, trans-European road movie.  A film created by Pau Dur\u00e0 himself and starring the multi-award-winning\u00a0<strong>Javier Guti\u00e9rrez<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Luis Zahera<\/strong>, who became the odd couple on an impromptu trip through Europe. The Italian\u00a0<strong>Teresa Saponangelo<\/strong>, winner of the David of Donatello for her work in\u00a0<em>It was the hand of God<\/em>, by Paolo Sorrentino, concludes this trio of highly accomplished actors.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201c<strong>Luis Zahera\u00a0<\/strong>He gives us a brilliant character, full of tenderness, fragility, and emotion. With great subtlety in the drama that the character carries, but also with great subtlety in the comedy and humor that emerges from this journey. Always alongside the equally brilliant Javier Guti\u00e9rrez, with whom he forms a pair that, for me, is inseparable on this journey.\u00a0<\/em>He defined it as such during the closing ceremony,\u00a0<strong>Pau Dur\u00e0,<\/strong>\u00a0the director of\u00a0<strong><em>BIRDS\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>who accepted the award on behalf of the actor who plays Mario, a tender and helpless character, very different from the roles we are used to seeing him in.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For her part, Zahera, who was unable to attend due to her theater commitments, sent a video thanking the festival for its welcome. The actor gave special thanks to Pau Dur\u00e0 for offering him\u00a0<em>\u201cthis very different character\u201d<\/em>\u00a0and dedicated the award to his colleague Javier Guti\u00e9rrez,\u00a0<em>\u201cbecause without him it would not be possible.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>BIRDS is the story of a journey, that of two strangers.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>who, now in their 50s, are searching for an unattainable crane and an unpredictable future.<\/strong>\u00a0A journey in which they will travel through Europe, but also through their own lives, their relationships, family, love, sex... as a catharsis in the face of the inevitable passage of time.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SYNOPSIS<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\"><strong>Colombo (Javier Guti\u00e9rrez) trabaja en un garaje 24h y complementa su m\u00edsero sueldo trapicheando con marihuana. Mario (Luis Zahera), un tipo peculiar y aficionado a las aves, que aparece inesperadamente en el garaje, <\/strong>lo contrata de ch\u00f3fer para ir a la Costa Brava a ver grullas. P<strong>ero al llegar a su destino, le cuenta que las aves han variado su rumbo migratorio hacia el delta del Danubio, en Ruman\u00eda. Mario necesita llegar hasta all\u00ed.
